Outfitted for large gatherings or quiet meals alike, the chic, modern kitchen includes a six-burner stove, gas oven, and all the tools you’ll need for preparing a gourmet meal – making a feast, or just a darn fine cup of coffee. As a bonus, there’s an additional dry bar on the ground floor for ready access to game-time snacks and cold drinks!

We really enjoyed staying at the Essex House. I loved how many unique treasures there are in the house, including the cool vintage fireplace and all of the original art. The house feels more like a home than an airbnb rental.

Words can’t describe the beauty and attention to detail of Essex House! It is an absolute dream home. Maile and Dan are the most wonderful hosts! We can’t wait to come back! They made our stay in Sedona absolutely incredible!

Zen Retreat

Cool and calm, the primary suite includes a plush queen-size bed, Smart TV, and a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a spacious shower. Sprinkled with original art and treasures from your host’s travels, this room is where India meets the Southwest.

This house and property are absolutely beautiful! Exactly like the pictures! Maile and Dan were very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going ok. The home had everything we needed for our girls weekend and we would definitely stay there again!

Second Rodeo

This room is named with a wink toward the whimsical art piece, and each of the duo twin accommodations includes its own nightstand and shearling rug. The vintage swivel chair offers cozy seating for bedtime stories or teenage lounging.

Dan and Maile are amazing hosts, and the house was absolutely perfect for our group of seven. The tasteful decor, comfortable furnishings, and super clean rooms made it a wonderful place to call home while we explored the beauty of Sedona. We will be back!

Sedona Sunset

Whatever the time of day, this guest room cocoons you in a cozy warmth and curated decor. A queen bed with luxe bedding and custom blackout curtains make it easy to sleep in.

Maile’s home was impeccably clean, comfortable, fun and beautifully decorated. I’ve never been to a better Airbnb. I can’t wait to return.

Game Room

The ground floor offers a fully appointed second living area by day, with a 2 person video game console table, a large TV, snack bar, art supplies, and library of games (not to mention full laundry facilities behind the golden curtain). At night, this room converts to a fourth bedroom via a brand new queen-sized sofa bed.

We loved our stay at the Essex House! Great place to come back to and enjoy the swim spa after a busy morning of hiking and exploring. The house was comfortable and had lots of activities to entertain our boys.

Bathrooms

Freshly modernized bathrooms include a primary ensuite with a spacious shower and a shared bathroom with a tub + shower combo. All are located on the top floor, adjacent to the bedrooms, of this split three-level home. There is also a fully equipped laundry room.

What an incredible place! We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The photos do not do the house justice. We cannot wait to book our next stay at the Essex House!! We will definitely be back.

Outdoors

The Essex House interior is designed for every comfort, but the fresh air of Sedona beckons guests outdoors as well. For adventures and homebodies alike, look no further than the back deck and yard. Grilling, stargazing, sunset watching, fire-pit time, an outdoor shower, and a soak in the show-stopping 17ft long swim spa are all amenities you’ll enjoy during your stay. The backyard is fenced in and completely private.
